Sister Towers

Project idea

The multifunctional complex- Sister Towers , represents an innovative initiative that integrates urbanistic, architectural, and ecological principles. Designed to transform underutilized space into a dynamic urban complex tailored to the specific morphological and urban characteristics of the location, this initiative promotes principles of responsible and high-quality construction. It tends to harmonize with the surroundings and improve the quality of life in this part of the city. The Sister Towers seeks to be a symbol of modern urban living, becoming a new center of activity and interaction for the local community. This project aims to create a unique, pragmatic, and attractive design adapted to the specific characteristics of the location, thereby achieving optimal integration into the urban environment and enhancing the quality of life for its users.

Project description

The concept is formed in such a way that the space is divided into two parts - where both towers are positioned at the far left part of the plot (vertical part), while their "tails" are connected to them in the form of a canopy (horizontal part) that extends over the rest of the plot, covering the public space where accompanying outdoor activities are located. The space serves multiple purposes: the above-ground parts of the towers are of a commercial-business nature with residential units, while the underground part contains commercial-recreational facilities. On the exterior, there are an auditorium and an open-air amphitheater. The Sister Towers project includes the construction of two towers of different forms, rising to a height of 125 meters. The left tower has an elliptical shape, while the right tower is composed of triangulations, resembling a piece of ice floe. These structures utilize the specific morphology of the terrain for optimal use of placement and creating a unique visual identity.

Technical information

The construction is based on a skeletal system principle. The structural elements are circular hollow steel carriers, while the enclosed part of the project is made of movable walls, allowing flexibility in space organization to suit user needs, functions, and capacity. The slabs are a combination of steel profiles and reinforced concrete to facilitate construction. Floor heights vary, with the ground floor at 15 meters, the last floors of both towers at 6 meters, and the other floors at 5 meters. The canopy consists of steel triangular thin plates of different dimensions (0.5m-4m) and 2cm thickness, the MERO system for installation is used.

Atenciosamente. Eman Mounir
