Blocked house "SIELO"

Idea projektu

This name of the house is translated from Spanish as clear sky. In my work I laid the meaning that nature together with urban development objects remains inviolable. What a person has built must be returned to the natural environment, by using resource-saving systems. The concept of the terraced house was a monumental form that supports but at the same time stands out from the surrounding space.

Popis projektu

The project consists of such parts as: block houses grouped in threes, parking next to the houses, a common children's playground for six houses, a park area with a view of the pond. There is also a backyard divided by wooden fences, but having a connection with neighboring houses.

Technické informácie

The project includes ecological systems such as solar panels in the roofs, solar water heaters, sliding solar awnings that react to direct sunlight and close when they hit them. The heating system uses a trombe wall, in a simplified version and designed as a window sill. No less important is the ventilation tower, inspired by the Arab malkaf system. In modern Arab architecture, it is still used today as a replacement for artificial air conditioning, serving not only as a way to save on ventilation costs, but also helps regulate pollutant emissions.

Blocked house "SIELO"

The "SIELO" project elegantly merges contemporary housing with sustainability, presenting a thoughtful integration of architectural forms within the natural environment. The terraced configuration effectively creates distinct yet connected residential spaces, promoting community interaction and privacy simultaneously. The incorporation of renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, solar water heaters, and adaptive solar awnings, underscores a strong environmental commitment. Additionally, employing traditional ventilation methods like the Arab malkaf-inspired towers and the simplified trombe wall heating system illustrates innovative sustainable design thinking. However, further exploration into landscape integration and detailed pedestrian connectivity could enhance the site's livability. Overall, "SIELO" commendably balances ecological sensitivity with modern urban living.
